The totodile swam over to Dawn, and licked her outstretched hand. 'Tototototodiiiiii!' it squealed, happy to find Kat's new friend.
'This is my totodile. I thought he could come with us! You don't mind, do you?' said Kat excitedly, grinning madly.

Dawn shook her head, suddenly going quiet before grinning innocently and diving underthe water again adn swimming further out to sea. Every so often she came to the surface to check Kat and her Totodile were following. Dawn knew this trip well and so as she swam many pokemon waved or at least tried to with their fins or tails. Dawn grinned back. She wanted to show something to Kat but she didn't know how to describe it, so she thought the best thing to do was to show her. But what would she make of it?

Kat followed Dawn, sometimes diving under the water to swim beside the pokemon down there. Totodile stayed beside her all the time, playfully blasting young pokemon with a light water gun. Kat was excited to go with her new friend, and wondered what was at the end of their journey. Why would Dawn want to go there? What did she want to show her? Whatever it was, Kat thought, it must be worth it.

Dawn led the way far out to sea where the water gently changed from a gleaming aquamarine to an inky blue. Here rocks emerged from the water creating a white and foamy barrier, deadly to ships, but a haven for water Pokemon. Dawn emerged from the water and shook the water out of her soaking hair. She looked around quickly for Kat and after catching sight of her dived gracefully and began to descend towards the sunken ship. This was home to Dawn. Somewhere where ears were not needed to be normal. Where she was not considered handicapped when she was quite capable, just because she couldn't hear. Normally thinking about this would enrage Dawn but having water surround her soothed and comforted her and soon the thought floated away like a sparkling Goldeen. Deeper and deeper Dawn swam until she could touch the the aged ship's broken deck. Many of the Pokemon had all hidden inside when the saw the shadow of a human but now, realizing it was Dawn, who visited them nearly every day, they swam out and surrounded her, each giving their own individual welcome.

Kat saw Dawn dive from underwater, surfaced, took a gulp of fresh sea air and dived down again. Following the girl down, she saw what was so special. The sunken wreck looked magnificent as the few shafts of sunlight that penetrated this far hit it. Resting on a broken timber, Kat grinned at Dawn and gave the ok symbol. She raised her eyebrow questioningly, as if asking 'Where do we go next?' or 'What shall we do now?' But Kat was very excited anyway. She didn't really mind what they did.

Dawn watched Kat as she made the movements and then, ignoring her for a few minutes shot off into the Shipwreck. Inside only one or two rays of light came in through a broken window and the holes in the deck. She felt some movement inside the cabin and smiled, realising her friend was inside, somewhere. Dawn clicked on her tiny, waterproof torch, attached to her bikini and flashed it around, trying not to startle any other Pokemon. She swam gracefully around the room until she found a large bulk in the corner, Lugia. A huge hug reassured him that she was friend and not foe, and a small tug on a wing told him it was safe to come out. She lead him through a giant hole in the bottom of the ship, her swimming as fast as she could and him moving effortlessly through the water. Dawn swam up and around, onto the deck of the ship again, Lugia staying a small way behind this time, and poked Kat gently in the back, wanting to see what she made of Dawn's mystical friend.

Kat turned swiftly, having been watching a group of starmie dodge the sunlight. Seeing what was behind Dawn, her eyes grew as wide as a ten year old's can, and she almost let out a gasp - but then remembered that she was underwater. She made the "ok" gesture, while grinning widely. Swimming over to the legendary pokemon, she grinned at it, but didn't quite know what to do. Then she realised she was running out of air. Pointing up to Dawn, she hurriedly made large strokes to get to the surface, gulping in air when she finally made it. Then she screamed. Lugia! Never had she imagined that she would meet the beast of the sea, but it didn't look like a beast at all. It was indescribably beautiful to the young girl.

Dawn also found that she was beginning to need some air and after a quick hand signal to Lugia she was at the surface, grinning at Kat, unaware of her scream. "So... what do you think of my friend?" she asked worried about making conversation in case she made another mistake.

Kat looked at Dawn, and grinned. 'I think it's the best surprise anyone could have!' she said, trying not to scream again. Then, laughing, she swam over quickly and hugged Dawn tightly. 'Thank you. This is the best present I've ever had.'

OOC: nope, just be careful...
BIC: Dawn didn't catch a word Kat said but found herself in a hug before she could do anything about it. After being released she took another deep breath and decended down to Lugia again, grinning and beckoning Kat to join her.

The young girl took another gulp of air before diving under, towards Lugia. Swimming as fast as she could, she went closer to the legendary pokemon, looking into its beautiful eyes and admiring its grace. Wow... she thought, and stroked it gently on the back. Its skin felt smooth under the water, and glittered in the shafts of sunlight.

Lugia fluttered it's wings playfully, making Dawn fly backwards, but laughing as she did so. The Pokemon's strength amazed Dawn and knew that it would be a very good asset for any Pokemon trainer. Dawn wasn't a Pokemon trainer though and had always thought of Lugia as her friend. She just hoped that other people wouldn't try to capture it, like she had been trapped all her life, unable to release her inner feelings properly.

Troy was on the beach, strolling along. He had run away from his stupid older brother again. Things had been hard since his parents died and his controlling older brother didn't help by shouting at him all the time. He liked his brother's wife, Oceana, but their baby, Luke made so much noise and cried all night, he hadn't had had a proper night's sleep for weeks. It wasn't much to do with Luke crying, but he was thinking about his parents. He looked over the vast sea, which he found peaceful. Then he saw the two girls out in the water, gasping for breath and then going under. He thought the worst and took his top off, running into the water in just his shorts. He let out Poliwhirl and Azumarill, his two pokémon. They were strong swimmers. He went underwater and screamed. Though no-one could hear him, he continued screaming. He had not expected to see the two girls with a Lugia! He screamed so much that he choked on the water and swallowed a load. He paddled back up to the surface and took deep breaths. He took a third pokéball out of his shorts pocket, his mother's Corsola. He didn't like to use it, it reminded him of his mother, but it was strong, and he needed protection from the sea monster that was kidnapping those girls. He took one last deep breath and dove underneath with Azumarill, Poliwhirl and Corsola following him...

Dawn saw teh boy swimming towards him but when she made out his expression and the pokemon behind him her face mirrored pure horror. Desperately she tried to push Lugia away but he seemed interested in the boy and the new pokemon who had come to "play". He let out a calming cry which echoed through the water surprisingly well.

As Lugia began to come towards Troy, he got even more scared. The Lugia let out a scream that terrifyed him. He began to paddle up to the surface, but the Lugia grabbed him. "This is it!" ,he thought. But the Lugia just pulled him towards itself, then spun him around in the water! "Hahaha, Lugia's friendly!" He turned around to see Azumarill, Poliwhirl and Corsola swimming around them. He made eye contact with the older girl and signalled that he needed air. He gently detatched himself from Lugia's grip and paddled upwards...

Dawn followed him reluctant to leave Lugia with the obviously strong pokemon and try to make conversation with the newly arrived boy. "My names's Dawn" she said timidly to the boy when they ahd surfaced and once again her face was one of contrencation as she stared at his lips.

Troy had more tact than to just ask what was wrong with the girl's voice. He ignored it and nodded at her. "Hi, my name's Troy. Nice to meet you!"

Dawn read his lips, smiled and dived under again to see if his pokemon had caused any damage.

Kat watched the boy from below, and smiled. Turning back to Lugia, she cuddled one of his wings and swam up for air again. 'Hi! You've already met Dawn, I see,' she said, grinning. 'I'm Katana, Kat for short. Come down, he's really friendly!' She pointed at the Lugia, then dived down again. Swimming quickly, she had to struggle not to laugh. Totodile was being spun around by the currents coming from the Lugia's wings as they flapped, and he was squealing in delight. Obviously Dawn treasured the legendary pokemon very much.

Troy took another dive and went to look at the Lugia. He went up behind the Lugia and hung onto it's back. Lugia took off through the water, jumping out into the air so Troy could breathe every so often. Troy was having a great time and his pokémon were chasing along behind Lugia. Eventually Lugia stopped back near Dawn and Kat, and Troy swam up to the surface...

Slowly the few clouds, which had accompanied the warm midday sun in the sky, turned to a larger and more threatening one. Each time Dawn surfaced she looked more and more concerned. The water turned colder but Dawn was reluctant to leave her friends. She knew that the longer she left it the more danger they would be in. Eventually she managed to sum up the courage to voice her worries. Surfacing for air she waited for the next person to join her.

Troy swam up to the surface, his pokémon playfully swimming around him. "Wow Dawn, looks like a storm cloud! You think we should head for the beach?"

Dawn merely nodded and swam back under the water and beckoned to Kat. Maybe she didn't have to talk if it was an obvious situation, but they needed to move quickly before the rain started to pour.

Kat glanced at Dawn, and noticed the urgency in her movements. Nodding quickly, she kicked away from the two pokemon, beckoning to Totodile as she did so. Both trainer and pokemon swam as fast as they could for shore, trying not to feel too disappointed that their session with the legendary pokemon had been cut short.
