'Mudkip jump into the air, NO, look out!!' Liz shouted as Mudkip took the hit. 'Mudkip are you alright' Liz was relieved to see that Mudkip had only taken a small amout of damage 'Okay then, Mudkip spin around in a circle as fast as you can without getting dizzy, now, water gun full blast!!'

"Torchic jump on that tree!" Hikagami ordered. With one mighty jumped it jumped on the nearest tree. Then Hikagami had an idea. "Torchic, burn down those trees!" Torchic understood. It burnt down the tree that it was on maknig it fall down. It jumped to then next burning it. Slowly it had jumped around Mudkip burning all the trees around Mudkip. The trees fell down creating a trap of fire. Then, Torchic burnt the leaves and branches that fell down. Now there was fire everywhere all around Mudkip. Torchic and Hikagami knew that even with Mudkip's resistant to fire, it still lose HP. Now there was no way out for Mudkip. Torchic can survive in fire while Mudkip can't. It is still small so it can't muster enough water to stop the fire and if it tried to run past the fire, it would still lose HP and get burnt.

'Mudkip spin around again you've got to put out those flames out before the whole of this area burns down to the ground!' Mudkip tried as hard as it could and eventually put the fire out. Liz turned to her opponent 'What are you playing at, you could have set everything on fire and hurt a lot of people, do you know how much damage that could cause. Anyway, Mudkip Use tackle and water gun at the same time' Mudkip started to run towards Torchic shooting as much water as it could at it.

Torchic, stick out a foot!" Hikagami said. Torchic stuck a foot out at the tackling Mudkip. The fire and water would make the foot not vgery clear and Mudkip would ran straight into it.

Torchic got the full blow and got temporarily blinded. "Torchic, don't give up, use ember all over the place!" Hikagami said as Torchic set fire all over the place. Now Torchic can 'see without seeing. By sensing the heat, it could find out which place is hotter than others and 'see' Mudkip.

'Mudkip use water gun to make this place as steamy as possible.' Liz sighed 'That should by us some time 'Now keep moving and keep using water gun. You should know that even though Mudkip can be as cold as ice it can also heat itself up using steam.'

"Oh really. Then I guess you didn't know this. The steam temperature would still differ from your Mudkip's and also, your steam creates a great way for Torchic to get to your Mudkip without you noticing. Hikagami said. It was true. the steam covered Torchic and Torchic had managed to sneak in front of Mudkip without being seen. "Double kick!" Hikagami ordered.

'Couse I weren't joking where else would I get this' Liz showed him a small card about the size of a credit card 'This is an official Gym Leader Licence, only gym leaders have one and because my sister and I both run a gym she has one aswell, anyway Mudkip finish that Torchic off water gun as hard as you can!!' Liz was quite out of breath after explaining the gym leader policy, but she thought that this battle was in the bag.

Mudkip sprayed a huge fountain at Torchic but before it hit Torchic Hikagami returned Torchic to its Pokeball. "I see... if youre qualified then I won't have any chance of winning. You won. " Hikagami walked to Liz and stuck out a hand. Congrats, lets shake hand!" He said with a smile.

'We are going on Route One to Lake City, if you don't mind,' said Rachel, tapping her foot on the ground. She had patiently been blasting holes into the time space continuum while the battle had waged.
She turned her back with a certain finality and stamped off to the Route entrance. Torchic was out beside her now, and was running around in circles about Rachel's feet. He was obviously bored and was exhausting himself to take his mind off of this fact.
As soon as she stepped into the route, she saw how full the route was of pokemon. Smiling, she walked on.

Well never mind if we're going to Lake City our best bet of getting there is if we just stick to the path so try not to go into the long grass so much because if you don't attack the pokemon, they will attack you so be as careful and as quiet as you can.' Liz started walking ahead of Rachel, she wanted to lead the way and she was determined not to let anyone stop her. 'Come on then' she shouted at the others 'I haven't got all day.'
