These have been written and approved by ME, to avoid confusion and fighting. And I mean every single one.
Rules
1) No arguments. Any argument found will automatically enable the participants to receive up to 3 negative points, being degraded or possibly deleted from the forums.
2) The Elite Four do not exist; instead there is a tournament when enough people have all the badges required. The winner of this will be given a trophy and a specific prize, which may be an item, TM, HM or a rare pokemon. Events may occur during these events which may delay the outcome or the battle itself. These may only be inserted into the battle by an administrator.
3) A judge may give a different set of rules for a battle if this is seen to be necessary, but only in certain circumstances. Other battles must be seen through with the official rules.
4) No Superplaying. To all those who don’t know what this means, most characters must START OUT with 3 first-stage or baby-stage pokemon at the most. Also, only 2 dodges in a row may be allowed. This is to stop pokemon from avoiding damage altogether and to make a more interesting battle. No super-powerful pokemon or legendaries may be caught. Evolved Pokémon may be caught after you have started your journey, and veterans to the Kyak Islands (People in the original RP) may use their Kyak-Caught Pokémon and badges. Also, pokémon caught at Pokeschool maybe used at The Kyak Islands if an administrator has approved the character and pokémon.
5) No Autoing without permission. You have to ask for the permission of the person playing the character you wish to auto before you do so, and they have to approve. This includes Prof. Cinders, Frankie and any of the Gym Leaders.
6) No spamming. This means no Double Posting (this is a waste of time and space. Please modify your previous post instead), no Bashing/Flaming other members, and generally no stupid pointless and annoying messages. Doing so three times will constitute a three day ban.
7) No ridiculously long or rude Signatures. Up to 3 pictures only, and don’t be stupid. If you don’t particularly like someone, do not say so through your signature or the IM system.
8) Only administrators may play as Gym Leaders, using the Gym Leader profiles. Gym Leaders Liz and Ami may be controlled by either the Gym Leader Liz account (only to be used by Hannah) or on Hannah's user, Liz Mercury... it's up to her...
9) Only Prof. Cinders or her aides can give out Pokémon to new trainers. These characters are controlled by Prof. Cinders and Pokémon Master Josh.
10) The Moonlight Islands, The Jadino Islands, Okuma Island and The Mintono Islands are Kyak Islands, just in a group, like the Channel Islands are 2 separate islands (Jersey and Gurnsey), but their collective name is the Channel Islands...
The "(DKI)" after some place names stands for "(District of the Kyak Islands)"
11) To register for the Kyak League, you need 8 badges out of a possible 15. You may get all 15 if you wish, but you only need 8, one of which must be from The Moonlight Islands.
You need all 8 Mintono badges to enter the Mintono League.
You need all 5 possible Okuma League badges to enter the Okuma League
12) No fan-made Pokémon. Diamond and Pearl pokémon may be caugt in Altanka Forest as they are revealed. This excludes known legendaries and presumed legendaries (i.e. Rukario) When we find out the English name for the pokémon, start using that name (i.e. If you catch Usohachii, when we find out it's English name, start calling it by that.)
It may help to give Diamond and Pearl pokémon nicknames.
We advise against using 4th Generation pokémon in battle, as we don't know their moves or stats etc., so it could be considered superplaying.
13) Events from the Anime, Manga, Games etc. are to be ignored. The Kyak Islands are far away from Hoenn, Kanto, Johto, Oore, The Orange Islands and The Sevii Islands. This means characters like Ash, Kanto/Johto/Hoenn gym leaders and professors (excluding Lee's Prof. Elm, don't ya just love vet power?!), and Teams Aqua, Magma and Rocket don't exist either.
14) No Legendaries unless approved by a moderator, but they cannot be used by a trainer or caught.
15) No trainer is allowed to reach the top of Mt. Mystery without permission from an administrator. There is a plot about what exactly is at the top, and trainers may join that if they want.
If anyone disobeys these rules they will be given 1 negative point unless otherwise stated. If they are obeyed to the letter, the person in question will be given 1 positive point. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
