oh, we were pretty sure it existed, we just couldn't confirm it... Now let's bring this up to date.
There is a scan of the box cover on pokemon forever and another site which I too (like some on Pokeschool) I'm sure not gonna recommend. Those who know me will know too well what I'm talking about... ^^"
it's basically a fuzzy scan with a Rayquaza and a Japanese logo... As Gary himself put it though (and this quote I love)...
And I completely agree, only it doesn't make my head spin. It's gonna have to do a lot of stuff to make it worthy. it will feature Rayquaza as the main legendary.
Note: Gonbe will NOT, I repeat, NOT, be in Pokemon Emerald. Why this is so you'll have to ask Ninty, and be prepared to get absolutely no response as well ^^'
Well, that's the latest word... I'll be sure to keep everyone here updated on anything else that passes me by...
Aaaaand... here's the scan too.
New news all! This just in...
Emerald will be released on September 16 in Japan.
It is indeed a kind of third game-i.e. yellow/crystal; Emerald will be set in Hoenn, but there are in fact new places to go, such as this:
Double battles have changed-now, if one trainer sees you, and challenges you, it is possible that another trainer will see you and join the fray for a double battle!
Here we see one trainer about to challenge you, where another sees you before you battle...
Another very exciting thing, one pokemon players have been asking for for years, is animation-there will now be animation of pokemon before battles. There are new tournament features...
This is the Battle Dome...
New clothes for the main characters...
And Team Aqua and Magma are at it again, but this time, both teams will apparently feature with equal roles. Emerald will also be compatible with the wireless adaptor as well. It brings some interesting prospects into the Pokemon series...
Of the sites I've seen, it does seem that Pokecharms has the best info on these games, so have a look here...
www.pokecharms.netfirms.com/games/gameboy/emerald/To go into more detail about the "tournament features", there'll be the Battle Frontier (the scan with the flags). There'll be seven areas in total-kinda like a battling theme park! There is also something called The Battle Tube. Inside are three rooms that will randomly do somthing to you. That could be inflicting a status problem on you, healing you or battling you.
More news, and that is that Pokemon Emerald will have its own set of e-cards... what they re about/for we don't know yet, but they'll be released around October in Japan...
There are more than the Hoenn pokemon. One trainer we know uses a Venonat. Another uses a Porygon... National Dex back again?
To go into more detail about the battle tube, you pick three rooms. One has a trainer to battle, one has a person to heal your pokemon, and the third gives you a status condition. You can also apparently catch pokemon in there too...
The great clash... Magma and Aqua manage to get to these legendaries and reawaken them for battle... Beautiful cutscene. As ^ said, it's not clear whether either them or Ray will be catchable... It is likely Rayquaza will be though, and possibly one of the two (or even both, but...)
This is when you're actually battling... You battle here during the Battledome battles. Nice...
And as you can see here, it'll be tourney style, with 16 entrants... Some with r/b/y/g/s/c pokemon...
Also, according to Pokecharms, there will be ribbons you can win too... Yipee...
Oh, and I went to a couple of sites, including the aformentioned one, and Pokecharms still has the best info...
That is a string of posts I made on my own forums. The mentioned pics will be up later (uploaded too much,
)
