Stone Evolution- A Research Report by Frankie Wissen
Stone evolution has been used since the early 1900s around the world. It was discovered by Sparkle Moonshine Snr. (1892-1973) When she saw a Clefairy touch a sparkly stone in Mount Moon, Kanto.
She collected these stones, which became known as Moon Stones, because they were from Mt. Moon.
Other stones have also been discovered by Dr. Moonshine and her colleague, Dr. Dusty Brush (1952-)
They have discovered the Leaf Stone, the Fire Stone, the Water Stone, the Sun Stone, the King's Rock and the Thunder Stone.
After extensive research it has been found that, when touched by a certain stone, some types of pokémon evolve. This happens because particles of the stone react with cells in certain pokémon bodies.
The reaction causes a pokémon evolution, like when a pokémon feels happy or when it is getting very strong, something is triggered and it changes to become better.
Here is a list of pokémon known to evolve using stone evolution methods:
Pikachu + Thunder Stone = Raichu
Nidorina + Moon Stone = Nidoqueen
Nidorino + Moon Stone = Nidoking
Clefairy + Moon Stone = Clefable
Jigglypuff + Moon Stone = Wigglytuff
Gloom + Leaf Stone = Vileplume
Gloom + Sun Stone = Bellossom
Poliwhirl + Water Stone = Poliwrath
Poliwhirl + King's Rock = Politoed
Weepinbell + Leaf Stone = Victreebell
Slowpoke + King's Rock = Slowking
Shellder + Water Stone = Cloyster
Exeggcute + Leaf Stone = Exeggutor
Staryu + Water Stone = Starmie
Eevee + Water Stone = Vaporeon
Eevee + Thunder Stone = Jolteon
Eevee + Fire Stone = Flareon
Sunkern + Sun Stone = Sunflora
Lombre + Water Stone = Ludicolo
Nuzleaf + Leaf Stone = Shiftry
Skitty + Moon Stone = Delcatty
