Harry Potter IV Movie *Rant*

Nyeh. Twas.... OK. They missed a HELL of a lot out. I think they let themseles down immensely by not icluding the Winky story (with Crouch's wife dying for her son, etc.), and they mucked it up a it by not showing any action in the Quiddich World Cup! Also, Ludo Bagman was completely forgotten, as was Hagrid and Maxime's half-giant story. After all the hype about Cho she had ONE scene, and Krum had ONE LINE!

Rita Skeeter, howeer, was a gr8 character, but they COMPlETELY mucked her up bynot including Hermione's beetle capture thing. The film makers made a wise decision not including SPEW though.

Hagrid's great words at the end of GoF were also forgotten, and the Weasley twins had become too loud, almost thuggish. Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes was also overlooked, and the twins only really funny scene was the ageing potion scene!

And lastly, the thing that pissed me off the most is:

Other things I have thought of:

-Padma Patil in Gryffindor
-Snape and Dumbledore's violence towards Harry (Dumble+Snape) ad Ron (Snape)
-The way Harry and Ron left Hermione crying on the stairs. They would NEVER do that. They fought a troll to get to her when she was crying! (Another ****-up: Hermione doesn't cry in public, thats why she was in the loos)
-No Pigwidgeon/Dursleys/Molly, Bill and Charlie
-Pervy Myrtle (she's NOT pervy!)
-The scene where Dumble tells the school of Ced's death- NO REACTION! In the book people are crying and girls are screaming, in the movie they look bored!
-Harry's fake ****** crying over Ced.
-Wtf was with that crying stain glassed window after the Curses DADA class?
-Harry's winnings money- how are they going to explain the WWW joke shop?
-Crouch Jr.'s Dementor fate not mentioned.

I loved it.

Of course I care that they missed out all the subplots, but even I'm not that keen to spend 10 hours in the cinema getting blood clots in my legs.

The only things I was slightly annoyed about were that Hermione would never wear pink, they changed the Polyjuice Potion sequence, and that Dumbledore would never shake Harry. Apart from that...

IT WAS FABULOUS!

Surely I can't have been the only person who cried when Cedric died? The special affects were AWESOME, as were the actors/actresses working with them - all three of the Golden Trio, especially Emma Watson, have improved so much, I really hope they stay on to finish the series, who cares if they're too old!

Apart from Josh, who would probably take any chance to moan about anything.

I moan about bad things, such as Emma Watson's AWFUL acting. SHe was just acting like herself, not as Hermione. Yes, we know you're English, don't OVER exaggerate the accent! Plus her terrible eyebrows everywhere!

HOWEVER, I hope her, Grint and Radcliffe stay on to do the remaining movies, if only for continuity. They ****ed up Dumbledore with the new actor (RIP Richard Harris!), who is a great actor, but a bad Dumbledore.

I agree.

It was a good film. Chloe got it right when she said that if everything was in the books, we'd be there for a whole day... or close enough. I wouldn't want my eyes to shrivel up, whilst Chloe gets blood-clots.

- Padma had to be in Griffindor because of what had happened at that moment. If they were all in the Griffindor Common Room, it's a no-brainer. Besides, for all we know, she wasn't a Griffindor, but she WAS in the common room. Remember what happened in film two? Harry and Ron got into the Slytherin Common Room (yeah, polyjuice potion, blah blah blah. Even without, if they knew the password, they could get in)

-Snape's allowed to be violent. And the only violence is mild. And Dumbledore's violence, I think, is supposed to show him going mad. Or something.

-Given the circumstances, they HAD to leave. And Hermione's a teenager at this point, she's allowed to have mental breakdowns

-Time allotment, again. And besides, Pig didn't show up in book three either.

-Yes she is. Yes she IS. Why else would she go to the Prefect's Bathroom?

-They were stunned into silence, obviously. Or a wizard did it.

-The crying wasn't that bad, but it did have room for improvement. It was very effective, I think.

-The window wasn't crying, it was rain on the outside. Anyway, it's supposed to show the effects that the lesson had on Neville, or something.

-Time, but they could've put in an extra five minutes explaining it.

-I can't think of any excuses for this.

They did actually say that Crouch Jr was going to Azkaban, or something similar, if only in passing. All in all, the film was a disappointment for me, but it was still really good. The only thing that disappointed me was how much they missed out, no house elves and no quidditch. I suppose that much Quidditch would've extended the film by quite a lot, but still...
